Our ‘Zeida” was brimful with initiative. His perseverance was a role model for each ‘grandchild’. It is hoped that this Shiur will motivate a similar characteristic “…to give a man an idea and let him run with it”.

The Ari’zal directed that this Perek should be said each morning before Pesukei D’Zimra. It reorganizes one’s thoughts for the coming day. Priorities of Life are reassembled: wastage and distractions are discarded; the New Day rededicated. Chanukah carries a similar message.
